Member of the jury, the judge said, I will now instruct you on the law that you shall apply in this case. It is your duty as the empaneled members to…..it was a long drawn out instructions after about the first minute the jurors could not remember the first part of the instruction, but the judge went on until it just sounded like a soulless drone to the jury.

None of the jurors lifted a hand even though they were thoroughly bewildered by the instructions.
The jury departed to the deliberation room to start deliberating on the findings. There was a mountain of exhibits on the prosecutions side and only a few one page exhibits on the defense’s side.
Once the jurors were alone, they started talking about the judge’s instructions that had gone on for about 20 minutes. He lost me after about a minute one of the jurors laughed, and then the rest consented in chorus.
