The burden to show the guilt of the accused rests with the prosecution and it never shifts. It is paramount for all jurors to understand the accused is innocent and to hold the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused beyond a reasonable doubt. Beyond a reasonable doubt means that you have absolutely no doubt about the guilt of the accused by the facts presented in the case. If there is any doubt in your mind about the guilt of the accused, you should find the accused not guilty.
